My Passion for Teaching Bookkeeping
I have worked in accounting and finance for my entire professional career. I spent the first 25 years working in the hospitality industry where I started as an accounts payable clerk. I then worked my way up to the Director of Finance for Global Technology at the corporate office with responsibility of over $300 million per year. When I left this position I partnered with a small business and helped them clean up their books and worked with the owner to begin offering benefits to their employees. When I saw how much I was able to help a small business owner, I knew that I would never go back to a large corporation again. Working with small businesses gave me a real sense of accomplishment. I finally felt like I could really make a difference in the lives of the business owners I was working with.
CanAm Bookkeeping, LLC was born during the Covid-19 pandemic in March of 2020. When the Covid pandemic hit, I realized that there were many business owners that were stressed out about ensuring that their bookkeeping was kept up to date and that it was done properly. Over the past several years, I’ve had the privilege of working with dozens of small business owners and training bookkeepers on my team. Through this experience, I discovered that my true passion is teaching others the skills and confidence they need to manage their own bookkeeping or build their own bookkeeping careers.
Now, I’m excited to share everything I’ve learned through my bookkeeping coaching business.
